Covid 19 statement for ‘The Barn’
In line with Government guidelines The Barn at Holwick has been closed for business for the last four months.
The easing of lockdown means that now people from two households can meet and overnight stays are allowed; so we are pleased to report that The Barn is now officially open for business from Saturday 4 July 2020.
In the last couple of weeks we have been working hard to make sure The Barn is ready for business.
We proudly display the ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard and supporting mark. This demonstrates that we adhere to the relevant Government and public health guidance, and have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment to check we have the required processes and protocols in place.
Prior to COVID-19, we took great pride in the high standard of cleanliness at the property. Now, we are taking extra steps to ensure you can book with us with the confidence that the property has been cleaned in line with the new COVID-19 protocols.
There is a comprehensive cleaning list itemising all the cleaning procedures that will be carried out prior to your visit but in essence this enhanced cleaning focuses on the appropriate use of bleaches and concentrates on frequent touch points like, for instance, switches, door handles and remote controls.
Guests are expected to follow government guidelines on social distancing and other related Covid 19 behaviours when in The Barn and when out and about in the local community.
Two Covid 19 ‘Packs’ are available, one located in the kitchen the other in the bathroom. These include some items of PPE and cleaning materials.
